Disbursements are the out of pocket expenses incurred by a lawyer in
conducting your real estate transaction. There is no mark
up. These costs are charged to you at their actual cost. These
include items such
as land transfer tax (applicable to purchases only), land titles filing
fees, title and tax searches, couriers, title insurance (where
applicable), survey (where required) and a small file materials charge
to cover the hundreds of pages which we have to print and copy
(typically $30.00 or less). Additionally, there may be a property
tax adjustment to give credit to the party paying the property taxes
this calendar year.
These costs can be estimated once we have more specifics of your real
estate transaction, such as purchase price, closing date, and lender
requirements.
